Hi! My name is Lynn Hansen. I live in a small rural community in Northern Ontario with my husband Gary and we absolutely love the wide-open spaces around us out here! We have 3 beautiful daughters: Larina, born June 23, 2003, Georgiana, born November 20, 2004, and Emmaline, born December 22, 2005. We also have a gorgeous son, Finley, born May 6, 2010.

I’ve always been somewhat of a tree hugger, as my family would put it, but when Gary and I started having children, my beliefs in natural living were deepened even further. With every baby, our parenting has become more natural, from cloth diapering to babywearing, from breastfeeding to co-sleeping. We’ve even switched all the consumable products around our house to non-toxic, all-natural ones.

One of the things I’ve found truly frustrating since having babies is the utter lack of options when it comes to natural parenting products in the region where we live. In the beginning, I thought that the only choices we had were the products in our local department stores. I didn’t realize there was a world of other options, much better options, through WAHMs (Work At Home Moms) and other small businesses all over North America. With Emmaline’s arrival, I began to contemplate the possibility of a business focusing on natural products for the whole family, one that would serve not only our local community, but also the rest of the world via the Internet.

I also have an ulterior motive in starting this home-based business – to grow it to the point where it will allow me to stay home with my children full-time. I am actually a grade 4/5 French Immersion teacher, but as much as I love my job, I must admit that I love staying home with my girls more. I want to be here full time for them, to nurture them like only a mother can. I don’t want to miss a smile, a discovery, a first, or even a booboo.
